The Advanced Science degree has the inclusion of an honours year and research skills built in for essential development in research. With more than 25 Advanced Science and 35 Arts majors to choose from, this double degree gives you the flexibility to try out a wide range of subjects before deciding on your specialisations. You will gain a solid education in theory, methods and research and develop transferable skills along with in-depth knowledge. You will gain the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research. Talented Students Program: The Science Talented Students Program introduces high performing students entering the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) to cutting-edge, world-class research at UNSW Science. The program offers these students exposure to research, networking opportunities and provides a degree that is flexible and tailored to suit students' needs and talents. Invitation to participate in the program is made by the Dean of Science on the basis of outstanding secondary education performance (ATAR or equivalent). All incoming students are assessed for eligibility including non-high school leavers. High performing current UNSW Science students in the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) will be invited to join at the end of their first year.
