With Charles Sturt University's Bachelor of Criminology, you’ll develop a critical understanding of crime and the criminal justice system. In this Bachelor's degree, you will learn about criminal behaviour and how society responds, while gaining insights into crime's complex causes and how this impacts communities. Throughout our Bachelor of Criminology, you'll study the causes and consequences of crime, critically analyse the Australian criminal justice system in a global context, and apply multidisciplinary approaches to real-world challenges. They will develop practical skills in research, communication, negotiation, and ethical decision-making, preparing them to promote social justice and contribute to a fair and sustainable society. This bachelor's degree ensures you have the skills to be a changemaker and work with diverse communities, corrections, juvenile justice, people in prison, probation and parole, police/law enforcement and victims of crime and their families. You'll graduate with a diverse set of skills as you study a range of subjects including; Foundations of Law and criminology, Investigating criminology, Criminal Law in Context, Foundations of Psychology, Young People and Crime Indigenous Communities, Criminal Justice and Policing.
