Why exact cutoffs, admission rates, GPA, SAT and ACT signals cannot be treated the same across all countries.
Different countries publish different signals
Some countries publish course-level admission points. Others publish school-level admission rates, average test scores or broader admission signals. In countries with holistic admissions, one score rarely explains the whole decision.
The grade calculator uses the best stored data for each country. Exact cutoffs allow clearer comparisons. Where admissions are holistic, available signals such as GPA, SAT, ACT or admission rate are treated as guidance rather than a guarantee.
Why uncertainty is labelled
A result marked as likely, possible or low chance should be read with its source and year. The estimate is meant to help students build a shortlist and ask better questions, not replace official admissions pages.
As more schools, courses and verified corrections are added, the calculator can become more precise. Until then, countries with thin admissions data should be clear about that limitation.
