How ratings and submissions are reviewed

How user contributions can improve the site without allowing spam, review bombing or unsafe personal data handling.

Why submissions are not instantly public

User contributions can fill gaps that official datasets do not cover, such as missing local titles, salary observations, school corrections, employer reviews or education-to-career links. But unreviewed contributions can also introduce spam, duplicate rows or misleading claims.

World Career Atlas therefore treats submissions as review candidates. A salary observation needs basic required fields, while optional details such as experience, education, benefits or verification can improve review quality.

Verification and review integrity

Verification links such as LinkedIn are optional. They can help confirm that a contribution is connected to real experience, but they should be removed after review handling because keeping personal verification material creates unnecessary risk.

Reviews that look abusive, duplicated, coordinated or unrelated to workplace or education experience can be held back. The aim is not to remove criticism. The aim is to keep ratings useful for future students, applicants and workers.
